Why install cameras for security?
In the security industry, we try to give you the tools to keep you and your property safe from theft or break-ins. However, that doesn’t mean your Fed Ex package can’t get stolen from your front door or vandals can’t deface your property. More and more on the news, video camera footage of suspicious persons is shown to the public leading to a conviction or property returned. Personally, I have some acres out in the country near Grants Pass and have great video surveillance of the whole area. It is comforting to know I can see who has been on my property when I am not there. Hopefully, your experiences will be more like mine. Just yesterday I dropped by the property to find that my trash had been scattered all over the front of my house. Before I spoke to my neighbor about his dogs, I decided to check the footage to make sure it was his dogs and not a bear or coyote. I had to laugh at the video: a couple of ravens had gone crazy on my trash! I definitely didn’t think that is what I would discover! I did however note an unknown vehicle drive up to the house and leave. I didn’t notice anything missing or moved. Most likely, the fellow got lost and just needed to turn around. However, if that was not the case, I do have a glimpse of his face and a clear view of the license plate! So you might know it’s a good idea to have video cameras, but why have us do it? Several places are selling video cameras fairly cheaply, especially since it became a law to have a surveillance system if you are growing marijuana legally. They seem easy enough to install. With NW Fire and Security choosing your equipment, engineering its placement, and servicing it whenever required by our local technicians. You will have “commercial grade” products, not “consumer grade” products, meaning it will have a higher resolution and be reliable systems with service to back it up. There are also many different ways to view your video, including right through your smart phone! There are even cameras that are integrated into your security system and you can view them in the event of an alarm and/or any motion detected. You can even check that Janie made it home from school. Well worth a conversation to see how much better it will work for you. Thanks for reading! Gage
